Right in the middle of the municipality of Arkadi lays the village of Nea Magnisia. It was founded after 1922 by Greek refugees who came from Magnisia, a village in the area of Ionia in Asia Minor. They gave to the settlement the name Nea Magnisia as a tribute to their home land that they abandoned after the massacre of the Greek population during the Greek-Turkish war of 1922. The name of the development is our own tribute to all those people, who had the power to make a new beginning in life.
Also, within close distance is Stavromenos village with shops and taverns, where you can enjoy a good meal and find something refreshing to drink.
