FAQ

IS THE PROCESS OF BUYING LONG AND DIFFICULT?
All the necessary steps will take approximately 1-2 months. The process is fairly straightforward and you do not even have to be here on Crete.
As a general rule, you must:

• Select your property.
• Make sure the financing is secured.
• Choose your lawyer (we can help you with this).
• With a Power of Attorney the lawyer takes necessary steps for you (applies for your Tax Registry Number ie AFM), opens a Greek bank account for you.
• Sign the pre-contract detailing terms of sale and payment schedule.
• Pay a deposit to secure the property by removing it from the market.
• Sign the final contract after all legal work is completed. Upon completion of the final contract, all fees and taxes must be paid.
